PUBLIKUM partners with Screen Australia on new market & audience strategy

We’re proud to collaborate with Screen Australia to support the development, production, and promotion of Australian feature films, helping connect Australian filmmaking with both domestic and international audiences.


As part of Screen Australia’s new Market & Audience strategy to strengthen the reach and impact of Australian feature films, we will contribute to a new initiative focused on providing Australian filmmakers with actionable audience insights throughout the development and production process of the film.  


Impact & Insights Initiative 

The Impact & Insights initiative will offer established screen practitioners the opportunity to develop robust audience engagement and release strategies for projects in late-stage development or post-production. Participants will benefit from PUBLIKUM’s tailored feedback, research-driven guidance, and structured workshops, drawing on experience from more than 200 film projects.  


Impact & Insights supports up to three late-stage development and five post-production scripted narrative feature film projects. Selected Australian teams will take part in individual PUBLIKUM-led workshops to strengthen discoverability for their projects and inform creative direction, marketing strategies and distribution positioning for their feature films.  


Coming up 

As part of the initiative, we will co-host a webinar with Screen Australia. The webinar will explore how audience data can effectively inform film projects and will provide practical guidance for applicants considering applying for the Impact & Insights initiative.
